Speakers at a recent Moscow event commemorating the 122nd birthday of Stalin distributed anti- Semitic literature and blasted “Zionists.” Some of the literature included the “real” Jewish names of Russian politicians, including the claim that President Vladimir Putin’s last name is the Jewish-sounding Shalomov, according to the Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union.
