HITLER-is doing the work of the Lord, and everybody should help hime to do it. America and England and all other countries ought to do the same thing as he is doing.

So says an English clergyman, the Rev. L. A. Long, hastening to add that he is not an anti-Semite, and that he meas no harm to the harm to the Jews. On the contrary, he wants to help the Jews, and this is the best way of helping them.

It is a novel point of view that the Jewish organizations seem to have missed till now, so perhaps I may be allowed to acquaint them with the revered gentleman’s beliefs. It may mean changing their entire policy. Instead of having anti-Hitlerist meetings, boycotting German goods and collecting funds for fighting Hitlerism, the Jewish organizations may start “Buy German Goods” campaigns, and run country-wide drives to fill Hitler’s coffers with Jewish money, so that hecan get on with his good work.

For what is happening now, according to this English clergyman, is that the time has cme for the Jews to go back to Palestine, and the Jews don’t wnat to go there-not enough of them-and since all the Jews must go back to Palestine before we can have the fulfilment of prophecy and the coming of world salvation, the Jews must be pushed out everywhere, and made to go to Palestine.

Dr. Weizmann, in his capacity as head of the Jewish Agency office for the settlement of Germany Jews in Palestine, might find a job for the Rev. Long on his propaganda staff. Perhaps Dr. Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda take an advisory propaganda and enlightenment “directorship” in Dr. Weizmann’s office, and Hitler might be appointed joint-patron in conjunction with Mr. McDonald, the League of Mations High Commissioner for German Refugees.

The would indeed be a body working to do the will of the Lord. Wouldn’t the Jews of New York rush to a thoudand dollar a plate dinner to welcome the Patron-in-Chief of the “Jewish Palestine Repatriation Movement,” Chancellor Adolf Hitler, should he consent to come over to address American Jewry on the great task to which he has set his hand. What a triumphal tecturing tour could be arranged for him by some big Jewish roganization! He might be induced to head a big Keren Hayesod mission, on a construction in Palestine and Nazi destruction in Germany.

All those who fight Hitler are enemies of the Jews and enemies of the world, and enemies of God. In the same way as those who would have tried to soften the heart of Pharoah and make conditions for the Israelites more tolerable in Egypt, so that they would have stayed there, instead of following Moses out to the Promised Land, and so fulfilling their historic and divine mission.
