Special discounts for tourists shopping in Israel with travelers’ checks were announced today by Tourism Minister Moshe Kol.
He said 15 percent discounts would be granted on a wide variety of products, including clothing, footwear, jewelry, leather products, plastic goods, carpets, gifts and souvenirs if they are purchased in any of the 430 Ministry-recommended shops. Discounts of 20 percent are already in effect for knitwear and leather garments.
