M. Speelman, well-known member of the Jewish community of Shanghai and a Dutch citizen, has been decorated with the Chevalier Order of Orange-Nassau, by Queen Wilhelmina of Holland. He received the decoration as a recognition of his philanthropic services and his many charitable deeds in Shanghai.
