This city’s Jewry responded whole-heartedly to the annual Herzl Memorial Meeting, which was held yesterday in the Y.M.H.A. building. The principal speaker was Dr. A. Sachar, director of the Hillel Foundation at the University of Illinois.
Dr. David Rebelsky, of Tel Aviv, Palestine, delivered a masterful analysis in Yiddish of Herzl’s personality. Both addresses were enthusiastically received by an audience of over 500 persons.
Dr. Alex S. Wolf, president of the Zionist Organization of St. Louis, presided at the meeting.
