Heinrich Stahl, a director of the Victoria Insurance Company, has been elected president of the Israelitischer Gemeindebund—the Union of German Jewish Communities—succeeding the late Professor Moritz Sobernheim, who died last month.
The new president is a member of the praesidium of the Jewish Community of Berlin, and honorary director of the charity department of the Gemeindebund.
