Lewis Jones, director of the Middle East Division of the U.S. Department of State, who arrived here last night on a three-day visit to Israel, was received today by Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett. U.S. Ambassador Monett Davis was present at the meeting.
Mr. Jones’ visit here is reported to be in connection with American allocation of raw material Israel is short of raw materials for many of her industries and requirements and is seeking supplies in the United States.
