The nomination of Dr. John Slawson as representative of the American Jewish Committee on the National Commission for UNESCO was confirmed today by the Secretary of State.
The American Jewish Committee was added to the list of national organizations which act in an advisory capacity to help the United States build UNESCO. It was also made known here that Leon J. Obermayer, of Philadelphia, will replace Rabbi William F. Rosenblam, New York, as B’nai B’rith representative on the UNESCO advisory body.
