Sen. Alexander Wiley presented to the Senate ###ay a report on displaced persona and a bill to admit 50,000 DP’s to the United states annually for two years beginning July 1, l948.
The bill and report were prepared a Senate Judiciary sub-committee headed Sen. Chapman Revercomb, and were favorably reported to the Senate by the full ?iciary Committee yesterday. Wiley is chairman of the committee.
The bill now goes on the Senate calendar and will be assigned a date for state on the floor after the Republican Policy Committee has discussed it with Sen. Revercomb.
