Streicher Charges U.S. with Making False Statements on Hirsch

JULIUS STREICHER, NAZI CHIEFTAIN FOR THE FRANCONIAN DISTRICT AND LEADING ANTI-SEMITE, TODAY ACCUSED THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF HAVING MADE FALSE STATEMENTS IN ITS ATTEMPT TO SAVE HELMUTH HIRSCH FROM BEHEADING ON APRIL 6, THE HAVAS NEWS AGENCY REPORTED.

HIS CHARGES CONSTITUTED THE FIRST INTIMATION THE GERMAN READING PUBLIC HAD HAD OF ANY OUTSIDE INTERVENTION IN BEHALF OF THE YOUNG JEW WHO WAS BEHEADED FOR ” HIGH TREASON” DESPITE THE CLAIM OF THE AMERICAN STATE DEPARTMENT THAT HE WAS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.

PUBLISHED ON THE FIRST PAGE OF STREICHER’S WEEKLY ANTI-SEMITIC NEWSPAPER, DER STUERMER, THE ARTICLE SAID THAT ” TO SAVE A JEW, A MAN TRUE TO JUDAISM, THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT HAD DECLARED THAT THE MAN CONDEMNED TO DEATH WAS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.”

” WHEN A JEW IS CALLED TO ACCOUNT BEFORE AN ARYAN JUDGE,” IT ADDED ” ALL ISRAEL INTERVENES TO SAVE THE CRIMINAL. ” THEY EVEN HAVE RECOURSE TO THE INTERVENTION OF NON-JEWISH GOVERNMENTS. THE FINANCIAL AND POLITICAL POWERS OF JUDAISM IN THE U.S.A. WERE FAVORABLY HEARD IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN THE MATTER OF HIRSCH.”
