Because of cholera outbreaks in neighboring countries stringent health checks have been imposed by the Israeli military authorities on the bridges over the Jordan River. Beginning today, all those crossing from Israel occupied territories to Jordan must undergo vaccination against cholera. For the first few days special medical teams will administer the vaccination at the Allenby and Damia bridges. From August 26 all those crossing into Israel must produce an international vaccination certificate which must be at least six days old.
