Student Rabbis to Get Degrees at Seminary

Ten new rabbis will receive degrees at the commencement exercises of the Jewish Theological Seminary which will be held Sunday afternoon in the Seminary quadrangle, Broadway and 122nd street.

Speakers at the exercises will included Felix M. Warburg; Rabbi Louis M. Levitsky of Temple Israel, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Rabbi Max Arzt of Temple Israel, Scranton, Pa.; Rabbi Elias L. Solomon of Congregation Shaare Zedek, New York, and Dr. Cyrus Adler, president of the seminary.

Those who will receive degrees include:

Arnold Emanuel Cohen, Canton, Ohio; Benjamin Hayim Englander, Palestine; Max Leon Forman, Albany, N.Y.; Abraham Hillarie Israelitan, Philadelphia; Joseph Gerstein, Russia; Louis Katzoif, New York; Morris Norman Kertzer, Cochrane, Ontario; Isaac Klein, Hungary, Harry Nelson, Berwick, Pa., and Sanders A. Tofield, Poland.

The degree of Doctor of Hebrew Literature will be conferred on Rabbi Max Arzt, Scranton, Pa; Dr. Abraham Moses Hershman, Detroit, Mich., and Rabbi Max Weiner, Detroit.

Graduates of the Teachers Institute are:

Bachelors of Jewish Pedagogy: Hyman Carl Brill, Nehama Glieberman, Samuel Kessler, Esther Novick, Dov Reisen, Ruth Watnick.

Professional diplomas: Shifra Geller, Leah Kleiman, Eida Shifra Geller, Leah Kleiman, Eida, Shifrowithz.

Academic diplomas: Clara Charney, Ida Crock, Rae Daniel, Herman J. Fine, Jay Isak Goldin, Lillian Gorrelick, Gertrude Horowitz, Mina Horstein, Miriam Kessin, Miriam Klein, Alizah Levine, Fraeda Mereminsky, Chaye Rozman, Dorothy Solomon, Ida Weinstein.
