More than 200 paintings and drawings by students at the art school of the Jewish People’s Institute are on exhibit at the institute. The paintings represent the work of forty students, who have been instructed by Samuel Ostrowsky, director of the school. The exhibition will continue for the next two weeks.
Seventy people attended a banquet last week in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Michaels, who have returned from a trip to the Orient Mr. Michaels is president of the Institute. Speakers included Louis L. Kahn, Mrs. Walter E. Heller, Mrs. L. E. Halperin and Mr. Michaels.
