A group of Jewish students protesting the religious and cultural repression of Jews in Russia staged a pre-Passover torchlight parade to the Soviet UN Mission headquarters here yesterday on the theme “Let My People Go.” Tables covered with matzoh lined both sides of the street where Rabbi Steven Riskin of Lincoln Square Synagogue conducted a seder ritual. The demonstration was sponsored by the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry, an organization of university students. The youths urged the the Soviet authorities to grant Russian Jews the same rights accorded other ethnic minorities under the Soviet Constitution or to let them emigrate.
