More than eleven tons of matzoth have been baked for Jews in the Soviet sector of Berlin and in the Soviet zone of Germany, it was announced here today. The matzoth were baked in a week.
The arrangements were originally made by the Berlin Jewish community for the Jews in the Soviet sector of the city. The Jews in the other sectors will receive their Passover supplies via the air lift. Sufficient flour and equipment was obtained for Berlin and the Jews in the rest of the zone, too.
