Suggest Tag Day to Aid Bessarabian Jews

The sum of $5,000 has so far been collected in the United States for the Jews in Bessarabia suffering as a result of the famine in the district. it was reported at the conference of organizations of Roumanian and Bessarabian Jews in New York.

The conference was addressed by Jacob Fishman. Dr. A. Coralnik, Ab. Goldberg, Bennett Siegelstien and Solomon Sufrin. Mr. Sufrin suggested that a Tag Day be conducted throughout the country for the benefit of hunger-stricken Jews in Bessarabia, to bring up the total.
