Jericho, which enjoys a sub-tropical climate the year-round, will soon be growing summer-time vegetable crops for export to Europe in the winter, it was announced today. Israeli experts aided by local Arabs in the West Bank town near the Dead Sea will instruct farmers in harvesting the vegetable crop and packing it for shipment overseas. A packing house will be built.
