The Lithuanian Constitution, while providing for decorous observance on Sunday, guarantees religious freedom to all groups, declared the Minister of Interior in reply to a question by “Federalist” Deputies, who inquired why the Government was not enforcing the observance of Sunday more rigorously. The Minister added, however, that the municipalities were given considerable latitude in determining the question of rest on Sunday.
