Support for Jewish Palestine Voiced by Latin-american Delegates to Mexico City Parley

Support for a Jewish national homeland in Palestine was expressed here by preminent Latin-Americans at a dinner tendered delegates to the Inter-American Conference by the Mexican pro-Palestine Committee.

Julio Acostra, Foreign Minister of Costa Rica declared “Israel’s dream of returning home will be fulfilled.” Cuban delegate Senates Chibas assured the gathering that the resolution introduced by the Cuban delegation, urging support of a Jewish Palestine, will be adapted by the conference. Indalecio Priete, who was minister of war in the Spanish Loyalist Government, paid tribute to Jewish contributions to civilization through the ages.

Other speakers included Alejandre Carrillo, head of the Mexican delegation at the World Trade Union Conference in London; Caban delegate Gustave Guiterrez and Mexican delegate Antonio Manero. Delegates from Chile, Colombia, Nicaragua and prominent Jewish leaders were also present.
