The annual convention of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association concluded its sessions here. The Convention was attended by 250 delegates from all parts of the country.
The annual reports presented showed that the sanitarium in Duarte, Calif., cared for 260 patients during 1926, at a total expenditure of $180,000.
New structures completed in the course of the year included the Chicago building and the Lipsy Cottage housing thirty-six patients. The building of a nures’ home, a medical laboratory and other facilities involving expenditures approximating $50,000 were determined upon at the convention. The program for the coming year includes the launching of a membership campaign throughout the country.
Chaim Shapiro of Los Angeles was elected president of the Association. Joseph A. Rosenkranz was chosen vice-president.
