Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May, president of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, has called upon the community to assist the organization in its twenty-fifth anniversary $500,000 campaign, which gets under way with a dinner meeting next Wednesday night at the Brooklyn Jewish Center, 667 Eastern Parkway.
“The Federation is the great community chest of the largest community in the world,” Justice May declared. He emphasized the increase in the Federation’s service, while County Judge Algeron I. Nova, chairman of the campaign, said that acceptances to invitations indicate that the opening of the drive on Wednesday will be attended by one of the largest and most representative gatherings of Federation and communal leaders.
