An injunction issued by the Federal District Court in New York City, restraining the Official Orthodox Poultry Slaughterers of America, Inc., Local 167 of the international Brotherhood of Chauffeurs, Teamsters, Stablemen and Heipers of America and certain members of their organizations from continuing to violate the Sherman anti-trust law in handling poultry in the metropolitan district, was sustained today by the United States Supreme Court.
The govermant in its suit brought in the Federal Court in New York allgeged that the members of the different organizations, by threats of violence and terror, had entered into and unlawful conspiracy in May, 1927, to control those who should engage in the poultry business inter-state commerce in the metropolitan area.
