A special issue of Survey Graphic devoted to democracy and racial and religious amity was published today under the title, “Calling America: The Challenge to Democracy Reaches Over Here.” The 192-page number contains articles by noted writers, cartoons and photographs reviewing the consequences of despotism abroad, minorities overseas, the refugee situation, tests of democracy at home and a symposium on “What We Can Do on the Challenge Reaching Over Here.” Raymond Gram Swing is special editor of the issue.
