In line with a new policy to admit skilled workers from Europe as immigrants, the Swedish Government has agreed to aid the World ORT Union in its program of training displaced European Jews by donating tools and machines, and will also admit Jewish refugees, it was announced here today by the local offices of the organization.
The equipment will be provided by a government-sponsored relief agency. In addition, the government has undertaken to train, at its own expense and in Sweden, instructors for various ORT schools and training centers throughout Europs. The agreement was negotiated by Lord Marley, chairman of the ORT Parliamentary Committee in London, with various members of the Swedish cabinet.
