Chief Rabbi Ehrenpreis of Stockholm is attacked in the Nazi-controlled Norwegian press today as being a leader in the anti-Nazi activities in Sweden. At the same time the press charges Sweden with being a “bastion of international Jewry and plutocracy.”
The Svenska Dagbladet, which is published here, today reports that Jews who emigrated to Norway from Sweden in recent years are to be sent back here by the Quisling government. The property of these deportees, which was confiscated when all Jewish belongings were seized by the Norwegian authorities, will be returned, the Dagbladet says. It adds that similar action will be taken in respect to persons who have married Swedish Jews.
