Swedish University Receives $50,000 Gift in Appreciation of Country’s Aid to Jews

A check for $50,000 has been turned over to the Swedish consul here by the D.S. and R.H. Gottesman Foundation, for Uppsala University in Sweden, to honor the 40th anniversary of the reign of King Gustav V, it was an##nounced today. The gift was made in appreciation of the Swedish Government’s assistance in saving thousands of Jews from death at the hands of the Nazis during the war.
