A private estate near Geneva left vacant by the death of its owner was designated today by the Swiss Federal authorities as quarters for Jewish refugees from France who have been detained for illegally entering the country.
At the same time more guards have been placed along the shores of Lake Geneva, as well as on the French frontier which is on the outskirts of the city of Geneva, bordering Mont Saleve, to prevent the entry of more refugees from France. It was reported here that many Jewish refugees are hiding from the French police in the caves on Mt. Saleve, with the idea of crossing the mountain during the night.
