Jewish refugees from France are beginning to return from here to their homes, but no large refugee repatriation is still in sight. The Swiss Government, therefore, announced today the establishment of a government commission for vocational training of refugees in this country. Dr. Aron Syngalovski, vice-president of the Ort World Union, was named one of the members of the commission.
Two large refugee shelters will be transformed by the Swiss Government into Ort centers for vocational training, it was learned today in connection with the establishment of the commission. At present the Ort maintains sixty-five institutions in Switzerland where more than 1,000 Jewish refugees receive special industrial and agricultural training, including groups which expect to emigrate to Palestine.
