Plans for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Federation of Swiss Jewish Communities were announced today. The celebration will be held May 27.
The federation includes all communities in the country, both Orthodox and Liberal. The federation was first established to fight a law forbidding schechita, Jewish ritual slaughter.
