The synagogue at Sea View Hospital, Staten Island, N. Y., was formally dedicated Sunday afternoon at a special service in the newly completed structure at West New Brighton.
Rabbi Stephen S. Wise delivered the dedicatory address and the Hon. John A. Lynch, president of the Borough of Richmond, greeted the congregation on behalf of the city and the people of Staten Island. Addresses were also made by Father Conran and the Rev. Hildebrand, chaplains of Sea View Hospital.
The special program for the opening exercises was arranged by the dedication committee, headed by Mrs. A. J Davidson and Mrs. A. Greenwald of the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations of Greater New York; Rev. Dr. Harry S. Lewis, dean of the Jewish Institute of Religion, and for many years chaplain of the Sea View Hospital; Rev. Dr. Isaac Millner of Port Richmond. Isaac Edward Kiev, chaplain of the Sea View Hospital, conducted the services.
