The Synagogue Council of America today issued a statement emphasizing that declarations made in recent weeks by various prominent Jewish religions and organizational Leaders in support of one or another of the candidates for the Presidency of the United States, represent the opinions of the individuals, and “should not be construed as representing the position of the Jewish community at large, or off any particular Jewish religious body with which the individuals may be identified.”
