Reports on religious observances, the publication of a Bible calendar and on other questions concerning Jewish religious life were presented to the Synagogue Council of America at its meeting today at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. A message from President Roosevelt expressing hopes “for a successful gathering which will advance the highest ideals of American citizenship” was read at the meeting.
