Prime Minister Winston Churchill is being officially criticized by the Governments of Syria and Jordan for pro-Israel remarks which he made early this month in the House of Commons in a foreign policy address.
A protest against Sir Winston’s praise for Israel was unanimously adopted yesterday by the Jordan Parliament, while in Syria Gen. Adib Shishekly, the country’s dictator, said that the Arab nations must meet immediately to draw up a general revision of policy toward Britain because of Sir Winston’s statement on Israel.
