Syria will extend the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) on the Golan Heights according to political sources in Jerusalem. The assumption here is that Syria is interested more than ever in dispute border with Israel because trimmed out her forces there to deploy them in Lebanon and along the unstable frontier with Iraq. The UNDOF mandate expires at the end of this month.
