Syrian President Hafez Assad discussed bilateral cooperation with a visiting delegation of North Korean military officials. Syria’s defense minister, Mustafa Tlas, who was present during the discussion, also held separate talks with the delegation about promoting closer ties between the two countries’ armies, according to officials present at the meetings.
