Well, he had not forgotten. His firm would continue to lose business rather than spend a cent in Germany or with some company unfriendly to the Jew. His Jewish consciousness had become too much a part of his life to forget or disregard an affront to all Jewry. His money would be spent, where it was most appreciated.
It was with the cigar tightly clinched between his teeth that Tannenbaum resumed his reading.
