Tax Exempt Status of German Community Restored

The status of a “corporation under public law,” of which it had been deprived by the Hitler regime, has been restored to the Jewish community of Herford, Westphalia. The status, enjoyed by the congregations of all major denominations, confers tax exemption and other benefits on the community.
