A commission to investigate the attack made on the Poale Zion Club during its celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Czernowitz conference proclaiming Yiddish as a national language was appointed by the Tel Aviv municipality. A resolution protesting against the attack was adopted by the City Council.
The attack was made by members of the youth organization, G’dud Magginei Ha’saffah, which has for its purpose the protection of the Hebrew language.
