I demonstration of school children took place here today in connection with the crisis in the Hebrew school system in Palestine.
Hundreds of children marched through the streets of the modern city, shouting, “We want to study, open the schools!” Lucian Wolf set faith the grievances of the Jewish committee against the discrimination practiced by the Hungarian government and against the failure to comply with the promise made to the Council by Count Klebel-berg that the numerous clauses law would be withdrawn. Opposition deputies were frank today in expressing their belief that the riots were desired by the government in order that it might be able to show public opinion abroad that “the wrath of the people” prevented it from complying with its promise to withdraw the numerous clauses law.
