The friendly cultural relations between Palestine Jewry and the Egyptians were emphasized when the civic and religious authorities of Tel Aviv, the first one hundred per cent Jewish city in Palestine, accorded a cordial reception to a group of Egyptian teachers on their arrival here.

The group, which is now visiting Palestine, consists of 113 Egyptian government teachers and is headed by Rushid Bey, well known Arab scholar and educator, who holds the post of Vice-Minister of Education in the Egyptian cabinet. The group is also accompanied by other Egyptian officials.

The Egyptian educators were met at the station by Rabbi Uziel and representatives of the Tel Aviv municipality. In reply to the addresses of welcome of Rabbi Uziel and city officials, Rushid Bey delivered an address in which he urged closer cultural relations between Palestine and Egypt.

A reception in honor of the Egyptian educators is arranged for tonight by the municipality.
