Large numbers of Jews of all classes yesterday visited the graves of the six Jews who were ambushed and killed on the outskirts of Tel Aviv before the Arab attackers were repelled a year ago today according to the Jewish calendar. The visitors to the graves began coming early this morning. There were memorial services in the principal synagogues.
Recalling the tragedy of last August, the Hebrew daily, “Davar,” says, “No compensation or revenge is possible for the blood spilled last year. The only recompense is loyalty to a suffering, tortured and persecuted people and to the vision of redemption and determination.”
