Jewish youth was advised today to develop “positive attitudes as future Jewish citizens and not follow the negative attitudes of apologetic Jews” by Label A. Katz, of New Orleans, chairman of the B’nai B’rith Youth Commission.
In an address before the 33rd annual international Aleph Zadik Aleph convention, Mr. Katz said that “today, as in every period of Jewish history, there are amongst us many Jews knowledgeable in Judaism and negativistic in their outlook, who make no constructive contribution to American Jewish life.” “Youth’s answer,” he said, “must be to intensify and expand all cultural, educational and religious service to make themselves better informed and educated Jewry.”
