National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods has just made public a report of its drive to raise $250,000 for the erection of a dormitory to house rabbinical students at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. $269,000 was raised at a campaign cost of less than $5,000, it is reported. The small campaign cost, according to the announcement, is expected to be defrayed by contributions which are still coming in.
Except for three checks for $1,000 each and one for $2,600 there was a noticeable absence of large donations, the statement says. The majority of gifts were of $5. and $10.
