Five houses in Gaza that served as terrorist bases have been blown up by Israeli security forces, it was announced today. A hand grenade thrown from one of the buildings last week seriously wounded an Israeli officer. A crowded bus was the target of a grenade hurled from another of the buildings. The inhabitants of the five buildings were evacuated with their belongings. Jerusalem police have located rocket launchers which fired Katyusha rockets yesterday at the heavily populated Katamon quarter. Helicopters spotted the weapons about two and a half miles from the center of the city. Security forces are searching for the perpetrators of the attack for which El Fatah has claimed credit. There were no casualties and only slight damage. A Nablus military court imposed sentences of from 30 months to six years on six members of an El Fatah cell convicted of possession of arms, training in the use of weapons and failure to prevent acts of sabotage of which they had advance knowledge. The defendants claimed that they had gotten together to form a soccer team.
