After joining the world-wide boycott against the Hitlerite regime, the Texas Young Judean Association at their annual convention here, issued an appeal to fellow Americans to “join in this practical protest against Nazi persecutions and atrocities.”
Part of the convention opposed the appeal to other Americans, but the opposition was quickly overcome.
The convention was the largest in the history of the Texas Zionists and the largest gathering of Jewish youth ever held in Texas. The membership of the organization has doubled in the last year and according to reports submitted, the organization is still growing.
Gerhard Bender of Austin was elected president of the Young Judeans to succeed Litman Danziger of Houston.
