The American Israel Public Affairs Committee hailed the U.S. House of Representative’s passage of legislation to sanction Russia if it helps Iran develop weapons of mass destruction. The Iran Nonproliferation Act, approved unanimously on Tuesday, would withhold $590 million in U.S. assistance to Russia’s ailing space program if it is determined that Russia is spreading dangerous technologies to Iran. The Senate has not yet approved the bill. The White House has threatened a veto.
