The American Jewish Committee took out a full-page ad in The New York Times quoting successive American presidents since President Truman in which they voice support for Israel and note the bond between the United States and the Jewish State. “In every administration, the president has spoken eloquently of the importance of a secure Israel to America’s vital national interests,” the ad said.
