The Jewish youth organization, Brith Trumpeldor, and the students’ societies Hasmonea and Galilia, telegraphed to the British Colonial Office, offering to despatch 3,000 volunteers for Palestine. The students’ organization Vetulia, telegraphed Dr. Weizmann that its entire membership places itself at the disposal of the Jewish Agency Council, and will be ready to proceed at the first call to defend Jewish interests in Palestine.
