The annual Ussishkin Literary Prizes awarded by the Jewish National Fund in honor of the late Menachem Ussishkin, president of the Fund for many years, was conferred here on Avram Yaari and Isaac Shalev, who in their writings expressed the “Jewish longing for the soil and creative work.”
