The Anti-Defamation League released the results of a national poll indicating that the number of Americans with strongly anti-Jewish views has dropped from 20 percent to 12 percent since 1992, when the agency last conducted a survey of anti-Semitism and prejudice in America. ADL National Director Abraham Foxman attributed the improvement to education, political leadership, greater openness in American society and overall economic prosperity. The survey of 999 American adults showed that African Americans are nearly four times more likely than white Americans to hold anti-Semitic views.
